Neutral to alkaline territory, typically shaded, edge of woodlands. .
Gloucestershire, Cotswolds, UK. The closed inflorescence (April, approx) is about 4" high. Blooms late May and June. Mature blooms are rugged and can stay intact for more than a year. |
