The musk orchid reqires poor alkaline pastures with short grass. It is small,
max height six inches. A small yellow-green plant. Sometimes with frog orchids.
Often with dwarf stemless thistles. These near Cheltenham, Gloucestershire,
UK. June 1997/1999. Double misnomer. No smell, and literature says vegetative
reproduction via multiple stolons on roots. So not mono. Also seed. Highly sporadic
populations. Savory smell from herbs, wild thyme, maybe.
